Our Trip to Egypt

Cairo was such an interesting city. The minarets from the mosques dominate the city skyline.

Temples and Tombs of Egypt

Cameras are not allowed inside the tombs of the pharoahs. We went to the area where the tomb of King Tutankhamun is located. The tombs were dug deep into the mountains where they were hidden and protected from looters.

Valley of the Kings - Luxor

We saw temples in the Valley of the Kings that had been there for more than 3,000 years. We boarded the cruise in Luxor and spent some time there sightseeing.

Hot air ballooning

I was persuaded to go hot air ballooning despite my anxiety with heights. It was well worth it with beautiful views of the Valley of the Kings. We saw the green fields along the Nile, the desert and the tombs from 900 metres up!

The Nursery Class

It has been such fun to work with the children this year again in Nursery. I can't believe I got so lucky to be Nursery Leader in Doha too! We have the Senior nursery class so we have been working on getting ready for Primary. I am so proud of the children and all they have learned this year. At first it was hard to sit still, to be reverent and to listen. But here they are, all ready for their Sunbeam class in January.

Refreshments must always include humus and flatbread or they want to know where it is!

The boys get into the serious work, and for some the shoes must come off!

How hard is it to get everyone looking at the camera?
